Dragon Boat Day 2007

Dragon Boat Day 2007 was held on Sunday 13th May. 29 teams took part in this annual event organised by the Rotary Club of Abingdon Vesper and held alongside the River Thames in Abingdon. The weather didn't dampen any team's spirit and a great day was had by all!

with less than a second between the top three positions

The teams competed against each other in many heats, with some very close-fought races. The Minor and Major finals involved six boats in each race.

On the river bank there were many other attractions. A fun fair, refreshment stalls, many craft stalls, to name but a few.
