The Abingdon Four Pillars Hotel teamed up with the Rotary Club of Abingdon Vesper during the month of December 2004 to run a charity raffle on every night that the hotel hosted one of their office Christmas party evenings. The Christmas Charity Raffle has been running since 2002. Cheerful partygoers gladly donated to the raffles in the spirit of Christmas.

In December 2004 a generous £1,839.10 was raised which delighted the Hotel and Rotary Club. The money is being divided equally between the Four Pillars Hotel and Abingdon Vesper Rotary Club. 

The hotel's money will support the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Oxfordshire Playbus and Oxford Children's Hospital. The money going to the Abingdon Vesper Rotary Club will go into the charity account, which helps fund charity donations and events. These include providing popular days out for local disabled people on a specially constructed barge, provided by The Bruce Trust, on the Kennet and Avon canal.
