KidsOut Days
Over 28,000 children from all over the country take part in the Rotary KidsOut National Day Out thanks to over 750 Rotary Clubs throughout Great Britain and Ireland, who work with local schools and special groups to make this happen.
The day, traditionally the middle Wednesday in June, involves over 100 venues and more than 1,700 volunteers who ensure the day is as special as it is memorable.

Barge Trips
Since 1995 the Rotary Club of Abingdon Vesper has been running trips on the Kennet and Avon canal, giving many local groups the opportunity to have a wonderful day out on a barge.
The specially-designed barge is built to accommodate people with physical disabilities and is maintained by The Bruce Trust
The Summer 2014 barge trips will run from Saturday 14th June 2014 to Friday 11th July 2014. If your organisation is interested in taking part, please fill in the contact form.

Transport
Another regular service activity undertaken by the Abingdon Vesper Club is the provision of transport to convey members of the local Stroke Club to their fortnightly meetings. We not only transport some of the members, but we stay with them during their club activities, and the social contact this gives them is as valuable as the provision of transport.
Youth Leadership Awards
Going up the age range, appropriate club members help those coming up to school leaving age to develop confidence and skills in handling interview situations; we also sponsor both able bodied and disabled young adults in the age range 18-25 for Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) to enable them to undertake leadership development training.
