Since 1999 the Rotary Club of Abingdon Vesper has held its Dragon Boat races on the Thames at Abingdon. Rotary Dragon Boat Day has become a major event in the Abingdon calendar, with entertainments and attractions for the whole family. Over the years, hundreds of different teams have taken part, thousands of spectators have joined in the fun and, best of all thousands of pounds have been shared between numerous different charities.
