Dragon Boat 2005
The Dragon Boat races organised by the Rotary Club of Abingdon Vesper are a major feature in the summer outdoor events in Abingdon. More that just Dragon Boat racing, there is a fun fair as well as numerous stalls, so that the whole day is a great one for all the family. Click here for more details of the Dragon Boat Day 2005.
Each year, the Rotary Club of Abingdon Vesper takes groups of people who would not otherwise have such stimulating experiences on day trips on various sections of the Kennet and Avon Canal. The barge is fully equipped to cater for physically disabled people.
The trips this year will take place in a 3-week block, between Saturday June 18th and Friday July 8th 2005. Many bookings have already been made, but if you are connected to a group which you believe could benefit from this kind of activity, now is the time to be in touch if you have not already done so.
